The Beginner's KetoDiet Cookbook by Martina Slajerova

I have been hearing a lot about the Keto Diet but have not really looked into it until now. This book fully explains the diet and gives you over 100 recipes to get you started. I loved looking through the delicious recipes but the amount of information on the diet itself is just amazing.

This book really is great for the beginner as well as those who have been on the diet. The food charts and tips and tricks are awesome and easy to read and follow.  And the recipes are great or anyone even those who have no interest in the diet at all. The recipes will have you drooling.

I received this book from the Author or Publisher via to read and review.

The Autoimmune Protocol Made Simple Cookbook by Sophie Van Tiggelen

There are over 100 Autoimmune diseases and these diseases effect over 50 million people. Only about 1/3 of these diseases are genetic, the rest are from environmental exposures, like infection, toxins, and pollutants.  It has been found that some of these diseases can be helped if not cured with the right diet and lifestyle changes. This book features 100 recipes to help with the diet changes. There is also a lot of information on how changing your diet can help. How to get started, what you can eat, and even when ad how to start re-adding foods to your diet. There is also meal plans

These recipes are great for anyone even those not suffering from a autoimmune disease. The recipes look very tasty so you wont miss the foods you should not eat.

The recipes are broken into sections. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, small bites, veggies, meats and so much more.

I received this book from the Author or Publisher via to read and review.

Vegan Yack Attack on the Go! by Jackie Sobon

I am no where near a Vegan, as a matter of fact I am pretty far from being one. I do love my fruits and vegetables though. I honestly believe that you can find some of the best tasting fruit and vegetable recipes in vegan cookbooks.

As I was going through this book I found so many recipes I cannot wait to set on the table for my family. The book is broken down into sections. Breakfast, prep aheads, bulk and more. The best thing about these recipes are they are all quick recipes.

Some of my favorite recipes are: Fresh Fruit Yogurt Sundae,  Grill and Chill salad,  grilled eggplants pesto pita pockets,  and hearty skillet cornbread to name a few.

Everyone should check out this delicious book.

I received this book from the Author or Publisher via to read and review.

Eat Feel Fresh by Sahara Rose Ketabi

This is a plant-based Ayurvedic cookbook. This is not another one size fits all book. This book is different because it will teach you how to eat according to your body's specific needs. Did you know that changes in season and climate affect your digestion? This book will teach you how to adjust your eating accordingly and do much more.

The book has recipes for every meal of the day as well as some special recipes like 6 taste bowls and more. This book is a journey into yourself not jut a journey through your kitchen pantry. Some of the recipes jumped right out at me and I cannot wait to make them and serve to my family.

The book is filled with amazing pictures, and not just pictures of the foods. There are beautiful pictures featuring sites in India and more.  The book is very informative on the Chakras as well as recipes geared towards your Chakras.

Buddha Bowls by Kelli Foster

Buddha Bowls seem to be the new rage in meal Prep. I have heard of these for a while now and when Quatro Publishing offered me a copy of this book through netgalley. com I immediately claimed my copy.

The book is filled with 100 recipes for nourishing food bowls. I do wish there were pictures for each of the bowls but the pictures that are in the book look amazing and make me want to run to the kitchen. There are bowls for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in this book.

I also like that their is a grin cooking guide at the front of the book. The book also has a section on sauces and dressings. These would be amazing on more then just the bowls.

There are so many recipes in this book I cannot wait to try. I love cooking, I love cooking with fresh ingredients even more. I do wish there were some basic nutrition facts with the recipes.

Bridge of the Gods A Generation Son Chronicle by C.J. Rose

of the Gods
Generation Son Chronicle
C.J. Rose

McAlester is a teenage boy living in San Diego, California. His
father died when he was a child. Leaving him to become man of the
house, living with his mother and younger sister. On his 18th
birthday he discovers a power that has been held dormant until now.
He is unsure what to do with it in the absence of this father’s
guidance. His best friend Gwen, who claims to be oblivious, knows
more than she is telling. Can Luther figure out how to use his power
and help the Gods like they ask with just the help of his best
friend? Or will the lack of guidance from his father prove to be more
than young Luthor can handle?

Has he taught you nothing?” she asks.
I can’t answer her, not out of fear, but out of awe. For someone so small, she held herself with strength.
Are you hard of hearing as well?” she asks.
I still cannot answer her. There is no wind, but her chestnut brown hair floats in the air. Her eyes match the color of her hair, and her lips the shade of a red rose. She comes just under my chin and wore a simple cream dress with a gold ribbon sash.
Turn.” She says.
As I turn she steps up to the pit and slowly raises her hands. As she does, the flames grow just enough to light the area around us. With a slight childish giggle, she is gone.
Quite fascinating for someone so small is she not?” He asks.
Aphrodite just gives a snuff of her nose in a sound of disagreement.
Who is that?” I ask.
You, my dear, have just met Hestia.” Aphrodite proclaims. “She can be such a show off sometimes.”

J. Rose lives in Central Illinois. Originally from just south of
Chicago, Rose is not married and has no children. The passion for
writing took root in high school where she began writing song lyrics
and poetry. On top of literature, Rose has a keen love for all things
nerdy and sci-fi. On a quiet night, you can find her curled up with
an episode or Doctor Who, Arrow, Firefly, and more. C. J. also
belongs to a theatre organization located in her town. The devotion
to musicals and theatre has led her to be a part of over 10 shows as
an actress, and over 20 as a staff person. Lastly, because she wasn't
busy enough, C. J. has her own bow company where she sells hair bows,
bowties, scarves, lip balms, key fobs and more.

When it comes
to her writing, it was an itch that needed to be scratched. While
working on a cookbook, and reading her typical fantasy fiction novel,
the idea came to her. She took the love of all the books she has read
and turned then into a novel of her own. Published by Burning Horse
Media in 2014, Generation Son: Bridge of the Gods was born. Selling
over 100 copies in the first month. In 2015, Rose finished penning
the second novel in the series; To Rescue a King. Being new to the
game, Rose has struggled to do most of it on her own. One thing she
vows, is to never give up.

The focus of the novel series is to
not only bring her fantasy and ideas to life, but take those stories
and make them a fun learning experience for the younger generation.

My Review:
Wow what a book. This is a cook book and it is vegan. There are lots of wonderful sounding recipes in this book. I found 2 recipes I will be trying as soon as I go grocery shopping and 1 recipe I did try and will be making again. I absolutely loved the Crispy Cauliflower Snow. Not only was it easy to make it was pretty, and tasted amazing. I will be making the Fresh Tomato Spaghetti and the Pasta Parmesan very soon.

There are meat tasting recipes with no meat at all like meatballs and a sausage recipe. There are pictures with every recipe by the time you finish flipping through the book your mouth will be watering.

The book goes with the Raw Vegan Diet. The book gives you some tips and hints and helps explain the diet. I personally am not on this diet but I do love to cook and am willing to try just about anything.
About the Author: is a raw vegan website dedicated to making healthy, gluten free recipes, that are delicious, easy and great for detox.

Reut Barak has been an online influencer in the Raw Vegan world since her transformation in 2015, “I started cooking when I was 7, on my own making Challah bread. I was brave. The result was what could only be described as beginners luck.
I have since had every possible failure in the book (and some of my own).

But I always succeeded in the end, and over the 25 years in the kitchen I mastered cooking. I could make anything I wanted to make. Until I went raw.

A chance night of late Googling on May 25, 2015 exposed me to this new great challenge and I learn new things every single day. Join me! Love, Reut”

Siriously Delicious by Siri Daly

Siri Daly, the wife of Carson Daly has brought us this awesome cookbook. Unlike some cookbooks you don't have to travel to all the grocery stores in town hoping to find the ingredients for the recipes. Siri has come up with these recipes that are pantry friendly. Just flipping through the book I noticed I would not have to go to the store in order to make several recipes in the book because everything was already in the pantry.

Not only are these recipes Pantry friendly thy are also family friendly even for the kids, and  time friendly. Most of the recipes in the book a easy to make. They are tasty and nutritious. I love to cook personally and can make just about anything I set my mind too. But this book is made for the average home cook and you do not need special skills in order to make these recipes even though they may taste like you do.

I received this book from the Author or Publisher at in exchange for my honest opinion.

First Time Cake Decorating by Autumn Carpenter

I love to cook. It is more of a hobby to me then a means to survival.  I can cook or bake anything but to decorate a cake I am sorely lacking. This book has made it sound so easy though, It has given me tons of tips as well as recipes for homemade cake mixes, icings, and more.

The book is broken down into sections. There is a section on tools. Baking the cake, torting and filling cakes. How to use food coloring and more. Then you get to the section on how to icing the cake or using fondant. It even gives you a chart on what sized cakes are needed to feed and how many people. How to transport cakes and so much more.

This is the perfect book for anyone interested in learning how to decorate cakes, as there are several pages showing how to make the decorations and making the cake look amazing.

Fix, Freeze, Feast, 2nd Edition by Kati Neville

This yummy book of 150 recipes that will make dinner time so much easier was awesome. i love how simple this book makes tasty meals so much easier for me. Yes the prep day is a kind of a pain but once it's done you can eat well in very little time. You gather all the ingredients, put them in freezer containers or bags toss them in the freezer and when you know you are looking at a busy day set one of the meals out over night in the refrigerator, toss in a pan when you arrive home and in under 30 minutes you have a home cooked meal ready to serve and eat.  Some of the meals are ready crockpot ready as well, just dump the bag or bowl in and when you arrive home you house smells amazing and you can feed your family a yummy home cooked meal, without getting your hands dirty.

I travel a good bit and my poor hubby stays at home. I just returned from a trip and while I was gone I used some of the recipes in this book. I made up the bags and bowls before I left and he was able to have fresh cooked meals without any fuss while I was gone.

Some of the recipes make several meals with one prep. For us since it's just him and I home now, I got 10 to 12 meals instead of 6. On some I just cut the recipe down by halves or quarters, since I do not have a deep freeze anymore to store so many meals. I also cut some way back just to try and see if we liked them or not before I make the full recipe. Waste not want not.

The mango-cranberry chicken is to die for. It was delicious. Next time I will make the full recipe so I can have this on hand. It does have a tiny bite to it but is mild enough even for smaller children. The recipe make 4 meals of 4 servings, and takes 15 to 20 minutes to cook and serve.
